We Are Thankful!!

After all the winter mess, we have so much to be thankful about! Jeremiah has now started to cruise and use a walker! He is becoming much stronger becuase of all the games we have been playing with him! He has some strange toe turning, but all is looking better with his physical development. The snow is now melting, and praise the Lord, we actully have some WARM weather!!! Our huge Sprinter van was stuck for over a week. It was very funny since we can't all go anywhere together in our other car. We would have to have rides for some of us to get places while the others went in our smaller SUV. We have started selling shirts to raise money for our next adoption which is going well. Right now we are still waiting on the Readoption paperwork to go through court here in Springfield. After Wil and Jay's cases pass(which is just a formality since no one is here to oppose it), we can collect everything for the next adoption's dossier. We are very thankful that many people have already purchased shirts for themselves/family!

Stuck!!

We are stuck in becuase of all the snow! Every single one of us are tired of winter! Too much snow! We can't wait until the nice warm spring/summer days!! It has been snowing here since 5:00 this morning, and has still not stopped. Our water stopped working this last Saturday! We had to get a new pump for the well becuase this one has a short in it. Thankfully we still had tubs of water in the basement from the storm preparations! It is fixed now and we are thankful! Stay safe!!

Skills and development

Jeremiah has recently started a program called First Steps, which helps him with his life skills and muscle skills. The one therapist comes to our house twice a month and the other one comes each week. They teach us some games to play with him. He was a premie, so he is a little delayed. We are very blessed that his congetive thinking skills are very high, but in other areas we are not doing so well. We try to focus on the good things but as we all know that is a very hard thing to do! Wil, on the other hand has not been doing so well off. He has a very hard time crossing the midline, focusing, and bonding. He goes to a special class at school to help with these problems. We are thankful that God has given us flexible hearts to deal with all of these difficult problems!!

Storm's coming!

If you take a look at the forecasts and go "WOW!", you must feel the same way we do! We are filling tubs with water, going grocery shopping, and panicing all at the same time. We do NOT want another ice storm, like in 2007! We plan to go grocery shopping tonight, just in case the power does happen to go out for a while. We are hoping it won't but, we are depending on God for protection! There are 10 of us living in the house right now so we will need lots of water! We pray that no major damage will be done!!

Adoption News

Here we go again! We are now starting our third adoption! We are waiting for some paperwork to go through. We are hoping and praying that all will go smoothly and this time we talked to some adoption experts that said that there are many infant boys and girls available! We plan to take one infant girl and possibly another infant or toddler. Some of our friends say that we can’t possibly handle another but we just say to them, “This is Gods way of showing us that we are called to adopt! God will give us the strength to do what He calls us to do. We are certain He is calling us to do this now even though it doesn't make a lot of sense."

All About Us

Happy New Year! To the Stinsons the New Year brings new happiness, joy, and love! My name is Aubrey and I will be in charge of our new blog. I have four brothers and one sister. Youngest to oldest is Jeremiah, who was adopted from Ethiopia, is 1 year old, and loves to crawl around. Next is Worth, who is a maniac, 1 year old, and gets into EVERYTHING! After that comes Wil who is also adopted, 5 years old, and very fun! Watch out! Next is Graham, who is crazy, 7 years old, and SUPER funny! Then comes Emmaline who is very determined, 9 years old, and loves art. I’m next, and I love to dance. I’m 11 years old and almost always have my head stuck in a book! Our dad (Matt) comes next and loves to run and is a wonderful father! My mom (Chandra) loves scrapbooking, reading, HGTV, and is a very dedicated mother! Chandra recently broke her toe and has a boot/shoe on. She will have to keep it on for one more week(she has already had it on for two weeks.). Graham just had his birthday and decided to go bowling, to Dairy Queen and have fun!
